PsycINFO 2002 to present

PsycINFO is the best database for psychology articles. It also contains dissertations, technical reports, books, and book chapters. Use this version to access articles published from 2000 to the present.

 

PsycINFO 1806 to present

Use this version of PsycINFO to access articles dating as far back as 1806.

 

SPORTDiscus with Full Text

SPORTDiscusā„¢ with Full Text is the world's most comprehensive source of full text for sports & sports medicine journals. It provides full text for more than 440 journals indexed in SPORTDiscus with full-text coverage dating back to 1985.  Use this to find information on sport & exercise psychology.

 

PsycBooks

This database contains the full-text of APA publications and classic texts from other psychology publishers. Thousands of books and chapters are included and updated frequently. 

 

HaPI

Use this database to find information on measurements instruments (e.g. questionnaires, checklists, rating scales, vignettes/scenarios, tests) in subject areas including health sciences, psychosocial sciences, organizational behavior, and library and information sciences. NOTE: It does not contain the actual tests.

 

Cabells Directory of Publishing: Psychology & Psychiatry

The Directory assists users in selecting journals that are most likely to publish manuscripts. The index in each Directory helps match the characteristics of the manuscript to the topic area the journal emphasizes, the type of review process, acceptance rate and number of internal and external reviewers.  The Directory also includes information on the style and format of most journals.

 

PsycCritiques

This resource contains reviews of current books and films dealing with psychology and psychiatry.

Psychology Dictionary and Glossary - A dictionary of over 1,200 useful psychology terms and important people.

 

ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Open - PQDT Open provides the full text of open access dissertations and theses free of charge. The authors of these dissertations and theses have opted to publish as open access and make their research available for free on the open Web.

 

PubMed Central - Provides access to full text articles from biomedical and life sciences journals. 

 

Social Psychology Network - Contains links to websites dealing with issues related to social psychology.  Also contains a database of over 1,000 social or personality psychologists, which has both a search and browse option.  Other features include discussion forums, links by psychology subject area, links to psychology journals, and more.

 

Social Science Information Gateway: Psychology - Evaluates and categorizes psychology websites. For each website, there is a description, list of keywords, list of subjects, and a resource type (for example, organisations/societies, resource guides, educational materials, and so on).
